Wash the lentils (dal) and cook till just done by boiling in water. It may take 40 minutes.
Put oil in another deep pan, as oil heats add cumin (jeera) to it as jeera turns brown add onion to it. When onion turns golden brown, add tomatoes, Tita Dal Fry Masala, ginger, garlic, green chillies to it.
Then keep it 5-10 minutes on a slow flame, as tomatoes turn soft, mix well and add dal to it.
Add water as per the consistency required. Keep it on slow flame for 15 minutes.
After your dal is ready add coriander leaves to it and serve hot.
Serve this dish with Basmati Rice, naan or chapatti. You can also combine this dish with any of the other recipes on our website.
